Yeah, I've been a big, big admirer of your work for a long time. I've watched many of your lectures.

I saw your project in the Smithsonian recently and just I find your work very fascinating. So I've been

very excited to talk to you. Thank you. Thank you for

visiting the exhibit. Yeah, it was very interesting. And you know, I'm in Texas, so you've talked

about Texas a lot in your talks. You were here for the eclipse recently, and we have the McDonald

Observatory here, which I go to often. So I'm excited to talk to you about that, too. I'm going in less than a

month, actually, again. Yes. In fact, that's a place that I first captured one of the mysterious

phenomenon in the earth upper atmosphere known as Redispride. I was next to the observatory.

Oh, wow. Okay. Yeah, I first visited maybe 20 years ago, and every time I go back to Marfa, which is often, I'll stop there for sure and do the star party.

Oh, you attend a star party in May. Oh, yeah. Okay. Yes. Well, no, no, no. They have every... The weekly one, yes.

Yeah, the weekly one. Yes, yes. So every year in May May there is a major star party known as Texas Star Party and about 500

people with giant telescopes come together in a land near the observator about a few miles.

And this is one of the words most known star parties that people from beginners to pros are attending.

Wow, incredible.

Okay, well, so this program is called Growing Up Errone.

So I wanted to, if we have, since we have a little bit of time, kind of get back to your

upbringing.

So you were born in Iran and you didn't leave until you were 30 years old.

So can you kind of tell me about your upbringing and about that first experience of looking at the moon in

Iran? Sure. I was a teenager, a 13-year-old kid. I borrowed my neighbor telescope,
