To Ashley, let's start off with football here, because Matt Rule leaves for the Carolina Panthers.

Is there anything? As this thing has taken a week or so to digest into the system of

Baylor Bears fans, is there anything that could have been done to keep this guy or was

he out the door?

In hindsight, I don't think there was.

I think they were paying him as a top five coach in college football.

They were giving his coordinators incredible money.

He had a huge budget for his staff and his assistants.

They were going to build him a football operation center that was going to cost, you know,

upwards of $60 million.

So that was getting off the ground. So, you know,

in hindsight, I think it was just his dream to coach in the NFL, and he got an opportunity where

he got full control. And so he pursued that dream. And then he got, you know, paid really well

...
