Hello, this is Justin DeClew, coming to you with a special interview episode of the

Important Cinema Club.

What will soon follow is an interview I did with Andrew Barr, a poster artist,

illustrator, jack of all trades when it comes to graphic design.

Andrew has recently published a new book, Andrew P. Barr versus the movies, which collects

his 180-ish posters that he did for theatrical screenings in Toronto, Canada.

These posters are bold, they're all different, and they span the gamut of movies that everybody knows

to real obscure things that were often programmed by me and Peter Koppelowski for the

Laser Blast Film Society.

I've known Andrew for over a decade now, and he's done the majority of the cover art for

the Golden Ninja Video releases, so I thought this would be a great opportunity to talk about his career, his artistic process,

and for him to answer every question that I had as sarcastically and as blunt as possible.
