But first, we begin in the dark.

Net zero blamed for Europe's biggest power cut. A reliance on net zero energy left Spain and

Portugal vulnerable to the mass blackouts engulfing the region, experts said on Monday night.

Again, this story just a couple of days ago, it is believed to be Europe's largest power cut,

power outage, we might say here in the

states, tens of millions of people left without electricity, flights were grounded, trains

halted, and whole cities left without power, internet access, or other vital services.

The cause of the initial fault in the region's electricity grid, of course, still being investigated

by those experts, and the EU has insisted there were no indications that it was a cyber attack, i.e. Russia.

However, energy experts have blamed a heavy reliance on solar and wind farms in Spain

for leaving the region's power grid vulnerable to such a crisis. A state of emergency declared in Spain, while in Portugal, water company E.P.A.L.

said supplies could also be disrupted.

Let's put it all online.

Q's formed at shops of people seeking to purchase emergency supplies,

like gaslights, which I would argue is a lot of the people's

problem in the first place, too much gas lighting. But everybody, of course, lining up when it's

too late, when the toothpaste is out of the tube, oh, I'm going to go buy some generators and

batteries now. No, you're not. You're going to stand in line. You've got to plan ahead.
