to invest more than half a billion dollars to develop small modular reactors.

Amazon Web Services and is investing more than $500 million

in nuclear power announcing three projects from Virginia to Washington State. AWS, Amazon subsidiary

in cloud computing, CIA being their biggest customer, has a massive and increasing need for a

clean energy as it expands its services into generative

AI. It's also part of Amazon's path to net zero carbon emissions. AWS announced it

it signed an agreement with Dominion Energy, Virginia's utility company, to explore the development

of small modular nuclear reactor, SMR, near Dominion's existing North and a nuclear

power station. Nuclear reactors produce no carbon emissions. An SMR is an advanced type of nuclear

reactor with a smaller footprint that allows it to be built closer to the grid. They also have

faster construction time than traditional reactors, allowing them to come online

sooner. Amazon is the latest large tech company to buy into nuclear power to fuel the growing

demands from data centers. And James, what a massive coinkie-dink. The other main intelligence-connected

tech front company is doing the exact same thing at the exact same time.

Google turns to nuclear to power its AI data centers.

Google has signed a deal to use small nuclear reactors to generate the vast amounts of energy needed to power its AI data centers.

The company says its agreement with chiros power.

We'll see it to start using its first reactor this decade and bring more online by 2035.
