Summary

via How To Kill A Sacred Cow podcast: James Corbett of The Corbett Report joins us to talk about the bait and switch narratives used by authoritarians to enact ever harsher controls on the proles. If the history of the media has taught us anything, it's that it is a tool used to frame events that conform to agendas hashed out in smoke filled rooms to benefit the few, while the rest of us do the killing and sacrificing. Not a bad deal for them; a raw deal for us. By looking at the unfolding Ukrainian conflict and the fake news and decontextualized stories that make them up, we can see the game for what it is. A bunch of slogans and false narratives cobbled together to form an authoritarian prison.

Hey y'all, welcome back to the show. Man, you know who it is? It's your boy Jay Hennahan,

0:08.6

and I'm back with another episode of How to Kill a Sacred Cow. Tonight on the podcast, we have

0:12.5

James Corbett, corboreport.com, open source journalist par excellence. So what open source

0:19.1

journalism is, if you've never heard of that or of James either,

0:23.5

which if you have and you've been living under a rock, open source journalism is citing all of

0:30.1

your sources and encouraging people to go and check those sources on their own, to make up their

0:35.2

own mind, and to actually participate in the

0:38.6

activity itself. So it's this great community that he's built over there at his site, where

0:45.0

everybody is cobbling together resources and helping each other to think and to grow,

0:49.9

and to be able to see behind the bullshit that is, you know, media today. Media always, for that matter.

0:57.3

James is working on a history of mass media. He did with an unregistered podcast originally,

1:06.2

and now he's working on his own version, and I encourage everybody to go and check out James's website and

1:12.7

to become a subscriber. I have been a subscriber for well over a decade, and that is a PayPal

1:19.0

subscription. I will never, ever, ever cancel, because seriously, this dude has meant so much to my

1:27.4

understanding of the world, and I really hope that

1:30.6

everyone listening tonight will go down into the show description, the show notes, and check

1:36.9

out corboreport.com.

1:39.0

Now, if anybody would like to help out the show, of course, you can go to how to kill the

1:43.1

sacred cow.com. And what's beautiful

1:45.3

is that I'm trying to build something very similar to James, to James's model. And I am trying to make

1:51.9

how to kill a sacriacowow.com a one-stop shop for everything so that if I ever get taken down off of all

1:57.7

the platforms, you can find me on my website. And I'm trying to build up
