if you were a worker who had no labor market experience with the higher minimum wage,

what we're seeing is that there are fewer those types of new workers coming into Seattle's labor

market. So it's becoming harder to get hired without prior experience.

Jacob Vigdor. He is a professor of public policy and governance at the Evans School of Public Affairs

at the University of Washington.

He's also a research associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research.

And he is also the principal investigator of the minimum wage study at the University of Washington,

which is exploring the impact of minimum wage ordinances in Seattle and other cities.
