now a battling ground. This is a new element which has entered into the picture.

a very international conversation. Of course, I'm here in Japan, and our guest is all the way

over in Barcelona, in Spain. But my, do we have quite a conversation to wrap our heads around

today. And for those keeping track at home,

this will be, I won't want to say a follow-up, or maybe an addendum to a couple of conversations

that I had several years ago with Dr. Jerome Rivetz, talking about post-normal science and the

philosophy of science, some heady conversations that you might have forgotten because they are now

over seven years old.

But today we're talking to Professor Andrea Saltelli, who is available at Andrea Saltelli.

And I will put that link in the show notes as well, including a link to a very important book that I read recently that I think is very much pertaining

to the concept of the crisis of science that we've talked about recently here on the Corbett Report.

The book is The Rightful Place of Science, Science on the Verge, and we'll also be talking

about a couple of papers that Professor Saltelli has written.

One, what is science's crisis really about, which he co-wrote with Silvio Funtowich and was published in

Futures in August of 2017, and one, why science's crisis should not become a political
