You know, Kylie, I had the A team in the Manhattan North Homicide Squad,

and my detectors were fantastic. And some of them were better interviewers than others.

There was a couple of them that were just superb, just superb interviewers.

And what a boss in Homicide has to know to do also is watch the interview.

You can watch it through the two-way glass outside and people don't know you're watching.

And if it looks like the detectives hit a wall or if it looks like the detectives may benefit by taking a

break, you can interrupt it. And it's not a good thing to interrupt it per se, because that can

ruin the flow of a detective that's doing an outstanding interview. But I think in this case, there should have been a meeting before they went in with him.

Because I think they really didn't focus on the right thing.

They should have focused on the murder and where Maddie's body was not on the images on his phone.

Because they didn't need him to, as I said, I'm sounding beating

a dead horse here. They didn't need him to confess to that. They got him with that. I skipped

ahead because I don't want to go through this whole interview, so we'll go back to it, but I skipped

ahead quite a bit.
