internationally known vocalist, actress, show producer and good friend, Anne Martinez,

and listen in and hear about the lessons that Anne has learned along the way to maintain and grow

and working through the COVID lockdown.

Hello, Anne Martinez. How are you doing?

Hi, I'm good.

So we're actually both in Vegas, but we're doing the Skype thing because of, I guess, the times,

and it's a little bit easier for scheduling.

So let's talk about, and there's actually, we're going to give a little bit of your history

in our pre-roll, but so you're actually a New York native. How did you first get involved in

singing and dancing and all the stuff that you do?

I started while I grew up in upstate New York in Rochester.

When I was two, my parents put me in dance class, so I started really, really, really young,

and then I started, I went to a great dance school, and I started competing in national competitions

when I was eight, and I came with a professional ballet company when I was eight,

and so I was really hardcore, hardcore dancing, and then when I was 11,

we had a rule in my house, you had to take a musical instrument until you graduate in high school.

It was like this rule, so we all started Suzuki Violin, and we were three, and then try

another stuff. So I was taking flute lessons. I wasn't very good, and to take

us somebody else in my music teacher, the girl I was taking with could sing, and she gave her

this audition for a professional musical, and then out of pure like, oh, here's one for you too.
