In this podcast, Dr. Berg talks about cholesterol spike on a ketogenic diet and intermittent fasting plan. The body makes 75% of cholesterol and only 25% of it comes from the diet. There is a huge feedback loop on how the body makes cholesterol and the cholesterol from the diet. In other words, when you eat more cholesterol foods, your body doesn’t make as much and when you don’t eat as much cholesterol foods, the body makes more.
