My guest this week is the artist John Lee.

Originally from the South John currently teaches in Virginia

at the College of William and Mary. He paints interior landscapes that primarily focus on

color and space. John has taken to heart the idea that rhythms in nature are

endlessly fascinating. He loves playing with images that have at least some

architectural elements in it. He's fascinated with vertical and horizontal planes. John describes himself as a

responsive painter. He paints what strikes him in the moment. It's less about

documenting what's there than it is about the particular moment he's experiencing.
