Okay, so at any point in a game,

if a batter gets ball four,

the team has a choice. The batter either gets their free pass to first

base or a pinch runner gets the free pass the first base and that batter stays at the plate with

a fresh count. Oh my God. I don't want to I was about to utter the phrase you hate

baseball goodbye to Steve but that one is so creative I'm like I'm kind of don of dumb. I'm just trying to think of how that works.

The only thing. Because what is? Yeah, you give them a bit. So you're basically penalizing a team for walking.

Yeah. It disincentivizes intentional walking.

Yeah but there's an easy way around that just don't intentionally walk them and just

the four balls out of the strikes and say sorry I had control issues. The only tweak of

tweak of baseball that I would maybe be okay with and I probably wouldn't is the

option to defer the walk where the player has the right to say,

nah, I'm good, and you've got to keep going.

Now the problem with that is, if you're a baseball player,

you still fail 70% of the time.
