So I've had a litany of intelligence and counterintelligence guests on this week with the main goal of trying to get at the heart of the secrecy that's happening right now with the intelligence about the Russian interference in the media.

Russian interference in the 2020 election.

And some of the challenges that democratic lawmakers are facing about thinking about unilaterally releasing it without getting anyone's permission.

And so this is kind of what I wanted to speak to you about today because I know you're an expert in counterintelligence as well and the FBI.

So what are your top line thoughts about this?

Well, first of all, I'm glad we're talking about it because it is in my opinion it's the hottest topic going right now, which is that someone else other than the US population wants to pick a president for us.

And that should piss everybody off.

And I wrote an article on this last week published in the Daily Beast.

Here's the deal.

I think the American public, the American voters need to know a whole lot more than they currently know about foreign efforts to influence our election.

Kama, however, I don't want politicians getting mixed up in this.

So here's my thought.

Foreign adversaries are trying to mess with our minds on how we vote.

And we need to know that generally and then more specifically, I think we need to regularly be briefed as a public on specifics on what this looks like and what we can do about it.
