own research historian Dr David Kenyon. The Y service was the organisation responsible for

intercepting enemy wireless and radio communications with Y stations based all around the world.

In his talk David focused on a smaller part of this organization, the Coastal Y Service.

In the Q&A that follows his talk, who better to help him than Pat Davies, who, from

1942 to 1945, was one of those intercept operators for the Royal Navy.

Post-war, Pat had an astonishing career as a journalist, documentary maker and television producer.

In June 2019, the French government awarded her the Léjeon d'Anneur.
