Welcome back, guys. This is Shower Thoughts with Sarah Shower. Today's episode we're going to be covering anti-intellectualism when it comes from a moral or philosophical, sometimes, actually most of the time, religious reasons for being anti-science, anti-vax, and

anti-intellectual. Before we get into that, I need to tell you about how my week has been going,

even though I recorded yesterday. So, but something interesting did happen today. So the safe act

is about to hit the Senate floor. And the SAFE Act is basically like going to

strip a whole bunch of American women of their rights and votes if they got married and then

changed their last name to their husband's last name. They now need to provide a real ID and

passport that matches, the name matches their birth certificate.

And obviously, if you've changed your last name because you got married, then you will be excluded

from a rat to vote. So I posted about this on Instagram and TikTok, and I was like, you know, we all see the rise of

golden retriever husbands.

And if you have a golden retriever husband, I'm so happy for you.

But I was like, it's so interesting that there's so many influencer married couples, you know,

and that their whole shtick is that they're happily in love and all this stuff.

And I wanted to make another podcast episode about the message of protect and provide

that a lot of men seem to have internalized.
