Hello there, I'm Chuck Todd speaking to you from the set of Meet the Press where we just

finished today's broadcast.

Our guests today were Senator Mark Warner, Democrat from Virginia, chairman of the Intel

Committee, Roy Blunt, Republican from Missouri, also a member of Senate Intel as well, and

plus Senator Secretary Jennifer Granholm.

Here's some quick takeaways from these interviews.

Look, I spent a lot of time on what's going on with these cyber attacks.

Obviously, this is now impacting us on our day-to-day lives, and it feels like we don't

know when the next cyber attack is going to cause where we can't suddenly use a credit

card at CVS or can't suddenly get gas or, oh no, we're not going to be able to get chicken

from the next two weeks because of a cyber.

These situations becoming more and more, and the question is, how do we deal with it?

It seems as if what came across to me, both with Mark Warner's interview and Roy Blunt's

interview and to a lesser extent, even with the energy secretary, is that this problem

is obviously it's filled with nuance and it's so complicated, but there's still not 100%

disagreement on how to confront it.

Someone to confront it as a Russia problem, and that they're the safe haven.

These are terrorist cells and you do it, but you could hear the hesitancy in both Blunt

and Warner to go fully down that road.

There's a sense that the private sector has to be more cooperative here in this country.

The 9-11 comparison that Christopher Ray meant seemed to be more about the stove piping

of getting our intel than it is about maybe treating them as terrorists, but that seems
