0:31.7	After over a month of the government shutdown, the September jobs report has finally come in,
0:36.4	and it is just a bit hotter than was
0:38.7	expected. The United States added 119,000 jobs in September above expectations of a gain of 53,000.
0:46.8	The unemployment rate did rise to 4.4% above expectations of 4.3, and unemployment, unemployment therefore is now at its highest since
0:57.4	October 2021. Now the next jobs report will not come out until December 16th due to the
1:04.6	government shutdown which is six days after the Federal Open Market Committee's next meeting.
1:10.2	Here's CNBC on the initial data.
1:13.4	Now, if we look at what's going on with the unemployment rate, it ticked up from 4.3 to 4.4
1:19.7	that was unexpected.
1:21.6	4.4 would, last time we were at that level, boy, I have to go back away.
1:27.2	October of 2021 when it was 4.5
1:30.4	percent now if we look at labor force participation rate it ticked up that's a good thing
1:36.2	62.4 equals where we were in May you have to go to April of this year when it was 62.6
1:43.1	to find a higher number in terms of the earnings,
1:46.9	average hourly earnings month over month, up two tenths. That's a bit on the weak side. We're
1:51.6	expecting up three tenths. And here is White House Press Secretary Carolyn Levin. In economic news,
1:57.1	the September jobs report showed the American economy remains strong, with 119,000 new jobs added,
