well, things might just have gotten a bit more expensive. As much of the U.S. is engulfed in a

haze of smoke from wildfires, two major insurance companies have said enough with regard to

climate change-related losses, and they're closing the doors on new policyholders.

Late last month, State Farm General Insurance Company, which provides homeowners insurance in California,

issued a statement saying that it would no longer accept new applications for homeowners' policies.
