about that here momentarily. Iowa State loses today to Texas Tech 80-73. And it's an odd game to have but it's a it's funny I was just

talking to a buddy of mine West and he came up and he's a huge cyclone fan and one of the best guys you'll ever meet

It says you know Chris I've been coming to games here from since the 70s and I'm not sure I ever wanted to win a game so badly.

And I think what he meant by that is

that team today, despite a loss,

was not the same team we saw on Wednesday at West Virginia or the team at Texas.

I mean it you could see that that team had healed And it's not perfect.

There's still a long way to go, and I think you could point with a lot of reasons why

Iowa State could have and maybe should have won today.

But that team played really hard. They gutted it out and they were beaten by a better

basketball team today. Tech deserves to win the big 12. Chris Beard is one of

the most underrated coaches in the country and in tech flat out made

shots down the stretch and they were they were nails down the stretch so you take

your hat off to Texas Tech they're ranked 8th for a reason and

they're going to be a two seat in the NCAA tournament. But you know I don't think people

left Hilton today at least the majority upset that Iowa State lost today I mean

they were upset that they lost but they weren't upset for the same reasons like they were on Wednesday.

And I think even on last Saturday, a week from Saturday, where there was clearly effort issues, chemistry issues that bled onto the floor all that.
