Miami got the big win to open this season over Notre Dame 2724.

It was an exciting game.

Miami, you know, I think controlled most of the game.

Notre Dame made a push in the fourth quarter, kind of opened things up, made things interesting.

But Miami at the end of the day, finished the game off and got the win.

Thanks to a dramatic field goal by Carter Davis, the walk-on, former walk-on.

I don't know if he's a walk-on still.

But he nailed a 47-yard field goal to give Miami the lead with a minute left.

And essentially, Mario Cristobal, you know, being a little conservative at the end in the

fourth quarter, said, we're going to trust our defense to go win us this game.

And they came through in that final minute,

particularly on the defensive line with Akeem Mezzador and Rubin Bain,

applying pressure and getting sacks on Notre Dame quarterback CJ Car.

So it was a fun game, great atmosphere, hard rock stadium,

had a ton of buzz, ton of energy.

That was all cool to see.

Gabby, where I want to start the podcast is where I think Miami won this game. And that was in the middle eight of the game.

So going into halftime and then coming out of halftime. So at the end, you know, end of the second quarter,

Notre Dame had just scored a touchdown to tie the game at seven to seven. The game at that point

was still very much in the balance. Notre Dame looked like they were kind of getting a little

bit of momentum going after Miami started fast,
