I'm Ryan Mink here with Garrett Downing, and we are going to talk about the huge, huge reported news of the Ravens trade for Max Crosby, the superstar defensive end, formerly of the Las Vegas

Raiders. The Ravens reportedly gave up two first round picks in this deal, one in 2026 here,

and one next year in 27. This is the first time in the Ravens franchise history that they have traded a first round draft pick for a veteran player, and they not only traded one, they traded two.

So Garrett, I'll just start here. I think it's safe to say this is the most aggressive move in Ravens franchise history and the biggest swing that swing that they've ever taken yeah first of all

let me just say I'm disappointed that you didn't open the podcast with the breaking news sound like

there's no bigger there's no podcast emergency breaking news podcast that deserves the breaking news

soundtrack from you more than this one. There it is.

So, yeah, this is, this is massive.

News breaks Friday night from multiple sources about this trade.

And this is a franchise altering type of move with a game-changing player, one of the best players in

football. And I'm not just saying this because of this reported trade. I felt this way for

a couple of years that if you could ask, take anybody in the league, who would you want? Just,

you can pick a player, forget the compensation and the

price and all that, just who would you want on the team? And honestly, at the top of my list has been

Max Crosby. I think he's that good of a player. He's a tone setter. He affects the run game. He

affects the passing game. No question about that. And if you have any question about what he can do,

just go back and watch the last time the Ravens played the Raiders in Baltimore, where he wrecked

the game. He wrecked that game. The last two times. The last two times. That's true. That's true.

But really the one that stands out to me was that home opener in the 2024 season.

I don't think Lamar Jackson's ever been hit as hard or many times as he was by Max Crosby in that game. Yeah, and the Raiders were one of the worst teams in the league that year. And you felt like, okay, if you're just going into the game, just don't let Max Crosby wreck the game, you'll be all right.

Well, guess what?
