All right, what's up everybody? Happy Saturday night. Maybe it's Sunday when you're

listening to this. Regardless, finally have a fun instant reaction podcast and really a nice night for Iowa State just all the way around a lot of good

things happen in 81 to 68 when over Oklahoma and before I dig into this I want to thank our good friends

I'm actually working on getting something for my wife right now and I'm going to buy it

through Carl Chevrolet. Tell you more about that as we go throughout the process. The Cyclones beat Oklahoma today 81 to 68 and really what was a must win I think for everybody

around the program within the program obviously for the guys suiting up.

You'd lost three in a row, one of the worst losses in program history was a part of that.

And then the other two you were blown out by rivals, those are the home games, and then the other two were blown out by rivals those are the home games and

then the gut-wrenching loss at TCU a week ago today it's been rough and you know I liked a lot of things that I saw today first of all with Baylor

in Texas Tech coming up this week I mean it's very realistic that Iowa State

you know loses its next two games and starts the conference season one and

four but you you take what you can get and I think that there were a lot of

positives to come out of tonight that might be beyond the scope of what some fans could see.

So I'm going to try and walk you guys through that and we're really a pretty educated fan base.

So I'm hoping that you guys picked up on a lot of this throughout the game as well.

You know, the first thing that comes to me is the defensive effort in the first half.

And I think that that bled with what Iowa State was able to do offensively.

Let me explain.

There was a moment, you know, Iowa State got down,

they were down like five midway through the first half and it was a dead ball I don't think Prom called a timeout, but they come out of it and they switched to a zone.
