David Lake, joined as always by Gabby Urutia. We're here to react to Miami's, we'll call it a dominant 42 to 7 win because the totality of the game was dominated by the

hurricanes first quarter things got started a little slowly Stanford went down and scored

on their first possession i think you know that's one thing miami's got to try and clean up here

because it's now two games in a row

in which the opponent has scored on its first drive. And for this team to play complementary

football, they need to, you know, stay ahead because I think we're now, you know, we're at the

midway point of the season. We now know what the identity of this team is.

This team is, it has to be an efficient kind of ball control type of offense.

And it's a team that honestly is led by its defense.

I think the defense is really good to great.

I think through three quarters today, it was elite, and the numbers bear that out.

Really, the full four quarter numbers show, too.

On the day, Stanford totaled only 144 yards, only 55 rushing yards, 89 passing yards.

Stanford was 12 of 26 on the day with their passing attempts.

Gabby, I think the stat was, if I remember this right, in the first quarter, Stanford had 54 rushing yards.

So that means for the rest of the game, they totaled,

they gained one rushing yard for the rest of the game. And really things changed for Miami.

You know, in the third quarter, but honestly, like in that last drive going into halftime when miami finally scored they put together their touchdown drive tied it up seven to seven going into

half time and then came out in the second half and just totally dominated in the third quarter

again miami held stanford to negative one yard gain or lost, I guess you would say, for that quarter.

So in the first half, Miami didn't have a tackle for loss.
