If you want to grow on Instagram, maximizing SEO is more important now than ever before.

As of the day that this podcast is releasing, July 10th, 2025, Instagram is essentially making

the entire platform searchable.

This means that your posts, your captions, your reels, and pretty soon your entire profile

are going to be able to show up in search results on Google

and other top search engines. This is awesome news for two reasons. Number one, more than ever

before, people are turning to social media like Instagram to search for things, whether it's

a local small business, a shop, or a product that they're looking for. People are looking

to Instagram and social media more generally for their results

rather than the typical search engines that we've been used to for the last 20 years.

And even if that wasn't the case, the second reason that this is great news is that now

our Instagram posts will show up under Google search results.

This means potentially more views, more exposure, more followers, and more

customers from your business through Google because of what you're posting on Instagram.

because hashtags are being phased out. It's crazy that to this day, people will argue with me

about this topic,
