0:02.4	Well, in order to help us predict what's going to happen in the near future,
0:05.7	it's important for us to look back at the past.
0:07.6	And so in today's episode, I wanted to go through my 2023 Instagram predictions
0:11.8	and see what came true and what did it.
0:14.4	And the purpose of this episode is not just to validate my own predictions or to establish
0:18.6	my own credibility before sharing my 2024 predictions, which I should note my 2024 predictions are going to come out very soon so make sure you're subscribed.
0:25.8	But you might have missed a lot of the changes on Instagram over the past year.
0:28.8	And the last thing I want for you is to fall behind in 2024 because you're still using strategies from 2022.
0:34.7	So with that being said, I had eight big predictions for Instagram in 2023.
0:39.5	We're going to go through each of them one by one.
0:41.2	I'm going to try to give you as much background information
0:44.0	and as much data as I can to say whether or not they came true or not. And I'll even
0:48.9	share with you my bold prediction from this past year that definitely, well I guess I won't give it away but I don't think it came true
0:59.1	My first big prediction for Instagram in 2023 was that there would be a big jump in the overall quality
1:05.4	of content and I think we can all agree that the level of editing for Instagram Reals as a whole has
1:12.2	definitely improved.
1:13.7	If you think about the Hormosy style real,
1:15.6	which Alex Hormosy made popular near the end of 2022,
1:19.2	they're everywhere on Instagram nowadays.
1:22.0	It seems like almost every editing app now has some sort of template that looks similar to the
1:26.7	homozy style reel with built-in captions, very bold text, quick cuts,
