Loads of really good minutiae in there about what's gone on at the Hawthorns and around the

club.

But I actually want to wind it back to the beginning of the season, perhaps even preseason.

There seems to have been a rift between Slav and

Bilich, who was manager at the time and the club. And also, you've learned that even during

pre-season, senior Albion figures chatting to others in football raise serious doubts about their

ability to compete in the top flight with the money available. So let's use

that as a starting point. They could have been genuine serious doubts and they could equally

have been senior club officials protect their own reputations, managing expectations,

but we've certainly learned that speaking to other people in football, yeah, senior people at

West Brom were raising concerns about the amount of money they had to spend.
