On behalf of the Norwegian Nobel Committee, it is my great honor to present the Nobel Peace Prize for 2020

to the World Food Program, represented here by Executive director David Beasley.

Thank you, my goodness.

It's quite something.

And then, in his acceptance speech,

the former US Republican governor David Beasley explained he was about to lead the World Food Program into one of the most critical years in its history. We believe food is the pathway to peace, but today

we have a crisis at hand. This Nobel Peace Prize is more than a thank you.
