So this week, it's in the wake of a pretty dismal opening box office for the Birth of

a Nation, which was a huge Sundance purchase it was a big deal

and then became plagued by scandal surrounding its star and director at Nate Parker.

Box office isn't always Oscar Fate but in this case it seems to be so we'll talk about what the fate of this movie is and maybe lessons we can learn from it

And then from there we're going to look at the best actress race we've all seen some films at various festivals that have us talking about who might win that

statue for some reason best actress is one of the most fun categories to talk about

every year and this year it's looking like a really good lineup.

Finally we'll put on our prediction caps and look at the best supporting actress category as well.
