Immigration and customs, enforcement activities, detainment, and deportations can be a black box.

Over the weekend, as many as 200 Venezuelans were deported to El Salvador.

Their alleged crimes are unclear.

In Seattle, local volunteers get a glimpse inside that box,

gathering each week to monitor detainees moving in and out of King County International

Airport.

In a minute, volunteer Stan Shukuma will tell us why.

But first, let's get you caught up.

A new task force focused on safety and security for transit operators and riders will meet this morning.

The group includes transit operators, city leaders, and police.

The task force was created after metro bus driver Sean Yim was stabbed to death in December by a passenger.

Today's meeting begins at 1130 at the Machinist Union Hall in Seattle.

The task force will develop safety recommendations which are due by September. March Madness is

underway and the Evergreen State is represented in both the women's and men's college basketball

tournaments. The Gonzaga men played Georgia at 1.35 this afternoon and the University of
