How does that feel to be able to go on a mound and go, I've got all these other tools that I never had before? I feel like whenever there's a hitter, whether he's a high ball, low ball hitter, I have a weapon for him and it's a calming feeling when you go out on the mountain and you feel like, you know, you have all the tools that you need to get whoever you need out.

That is the new and improved.

Eric Fetty, who signed with the White Sox this offseason after his MVP season last year in Korea.

You know, people wondered how his new pitch mix would work in the major leagues.

He'll have his first start against the Tigers as any indication.

There's a lot of hope that this could be a big comeback season for Fetty.

Hey, everybody, it's Chuck Arfine, and this is the White Sox Talk podcast. And after struggling with the nationals in 2022, Fetty decided he needed to fix his mechanics and add some new pitches.

But instead of signing a minor league deal here in the States, because that's all he could get,

he bet on himself, signed with a team in the KBO League in Korea, and was

instantly the best pitcher and player in the league. So when he became a free agent this

offseason, just about every team in the majors was calling his agent, Scott Boris, interested

in signing him.

The White Sox won out, signing Fetty to a two-year deal.

And in his first start against the Tigers, he gave up two runs in four and two-thirds with seven strikeouts.
