Hi Katie. And joining us from Los Angeles, our special Hollywood correspondent Anthony Brezan.

Hey, I'm so happy to be on my first little gold minute podcast.

I was going to say, I can't believe this is the first time we've had you on.

It's, uh, we've had a great time having you on the

Hollywood team and you got to do the special thing of going to what looks like the

most fun actual Oscars event you went to the Governor's Awards.

Yeah it was a lot of fun. It was a lot of cool people looking great and kind of a fun, funny evening,

Plus The Legend of Legends.

Well, we're going to bug Anthony about his experience with the Governor's Awards and then also talk a little bit about best

director as we kind of make our way through all the Oscar categories and dive deep into them.

And in the back half of the episode, we're going to hear Richard Lawson, who talked to Elizabeth Moss,

who gave one of my favorite performances of the year in her smell and kind of

as part of our backdoor efforts to run a campaign without anyone paying us.

We brought her back into the studio to talk about that movie and hopefully get more people to catch up on it

But first Anthony you went to the governor's awards was this your first time going to this event

No, no first time in a couple of years, but I've been a few times in the past, you know, and Roger

Corman got his and Eli Wallach.

They're not that old.

It's not like a super storied tradition. I'd have to look up the exact number, but when they stopped presenting the awards during the Oscar Telecast, they created this special ball that takes place kind of at the beginning of Oscar season.
