I'm Wes Goldberg Warriors beat reporter for the Mercury News.

On Thursday, it was decided that the NBA would proceed with the postseason,

which on Wednesday night wasn't a sure thing after Milwaukee Bucks players decided not to come out

for their playoff game against the magic and protest of the police shooting of Jacob Blake,

a 29-year-old black man in Wisconsin.

Soon after, players from the Thunder, Rockets, Lakers, and Trailblazers decided they would not

play their games, and the game on Thursday between the Clippers and Mavericks and Nuggets

and Jazz, were also postponed.

And though players considered the idea of canceling the entire postseason, on Thursday

they decided to continue playing.

conversation I had a few months ago with former NBA player and coach Brian Shaw about his experiences

dealing with racism in America. But first, my conversation with Kyle Goon.
