You're Latin Grammy nominated for your last album, which was Afro Bach, came out February

to that album, you would sort of think that you were kind of from Cuba or from, I don't know.

But you kind of, where did you originally grow up?

I grew up in Boston, Massachusetts, and I was always hanging out with the Latin musicians and the Latin jazz guys.

And I was fascinated with Latin music my entire life.

But I didn't actually go to Cuba to study until

2015, which was a life-changing experience. How did you get to Cuba? What was the process like?
