Four years ago, America led in 5G. Now, China leads. They're on pace to have four times more

5G spectrum than the U.S. and already boast 15 times more 5G factories, giving them a huge edge in

next generation manufacturing. The first Trump administration jump started our 5G lead. It's time to do it again by

renewing the FCC's auction authority with a pipeline of at least 600 megahertz of 5G spectrum. Doing so

will grow our economy, create jobs, and foster innovation. America needs more 5G spectrum.

brought to by Punchable News. It's Wednesday, May 14th, 2025. Let's get into the mix. Here are

your Washington headlines of the day. Number one, legislative reality hits Congress. Number two,

reconciliation markups go all night. And number three, we've got a scoop. Representative Bill Hesengas staffs up ahead of a possible Michigan Senate run. All right, Jake, let's get into it. A really interesting look this morning, a scene setter here. The House Republicans have been hard at work with a flurry of activity and negotiations.

We're going to get into what has actually happened overnight here in a little bit.

But we're projecting forward this morning, which is something that House Republicans should be thinking about.

And in particular, Speaker, Mike Johnson, when it comes to the reconciliation package,

as hard fought as it is going to be to get each of these tax provisions out of the committees and then across the finish line here, they can only lose three votes.

Then there's a reality that the Senate's going to want to get involved.

Yeah.

The selling point for the leadership has been that the Senate is not going to take apart this bill.

Not many people believe that, but the Senate is going to take apart this bill.

They just are. Like they are.

Well, they're not going to say, hey, guys. Yep, great. You got it all done. Let's just pass with the House.
