Good night for Frondell, but otherwise just a frustrating night of really not getting on track.

Yeah, it was a tough night for us. I think we didn't have it.

You know, the one thing that we didn't do well enough was compete in the puck, you know, so that's a disappointing thing, obviously.

They, you know, one of the reasons that they're a really good team year after year is they, their work ethic and their compete on the puck is excellent.

And although they obviously had a late lineup tonight, they still worked and competed on the puck

and we didn't do that enough. We lost too many puck battles.

So, you know, if I look at, like, what is the thing you gotta make sure and take from it?

It's making sure our guys understand.

Like, that's what it takes.

It seemed to me like Bedard's line a few times

was kind of counting on the puck getting out

and it didn't get out.

It's kind of a risky assumption to make

maybe against that forecheck of Carolina.

Yeah, you know, that happened probably the first one.

Like, you know, when it doesn't get out, you got to stop. We kind of looped a little bit, maybe one other time where the same thing kind of happened there. So you got to make sure, you know, you were trying to build speed and get up the ice. When it doesn't get out, you got to stop, you can't loop. Has anything about Frondell surprised you from what you saw in video? No, no. I think he's a really good player. I thought he was really good player when I saw in video. He's strong. Strong and the stick, you know, smart, moves well. You know, there's a lot there. He's a, and he wants to be really good. He's going to be a good player.

You've only pulled a goalie once all a year. Is there a reason why you're kind of more reluctant than others? I don't know if I'm reluctant. It just hasn't been the situation that I felt was the right move, you know. So it's not a reluctancy at all. you know, sometimes, you know know if you know early that a goalie

doesn't have it per se that that's a time to pull potentially but I don't I

didn't you know I didn't think we played good enough to make that determination so

you know I don't I'm not a big believer in doing it just to do it I don't think

it's a huge you know there's times or maybe it's a little bit of a spark, but tonight I didn't think it was the case. What do you think of Green back at Center tonight? He played fine at Center. You know, like, I think Greeners game doesn't matter if his Center Wing, to be honest with it. It matters when he skates and wins puck battles. That to me is when he plays his best, is when he skates and wins puck battles and he's able to do it on the wing or center.

So, you know, again, he, either way to me, he's got the ability to do either one, which is good for him.
