Back in those days, they had what was called the picnic area in left field.

So they had a lot of wooden benches for the people to sit down on and have a snack.

Well, they took some of the benches from the picnic area and they made a big bonfire in center field.

And I don't know how much more depressing a groundkeeper can get

Tennessee fire in the middle of center field.

It wasn't a good day, Chuck.

Let me tell you that.

It was not a good day.

Yeah.

Barring 68, when I was on in Vietnam, I've missed seven games. entire career? Yeah, barring 68.

When I was on in Vietnam, I've missed seven games in 56 years.
