Summary

In May of 2023, a grand jury indicted Bryan Kohberger on four counts of first-degree murder and one count of burglary. The following month, prosecutors announced their intent to seek the death penalty against Kohberger. Over the next two years, the prosecution and the defense engaged in a back-and-forth battle over alibis, evidence, and other matters.
