Hello and welcome to the first Inside the Huddle podcast of 2014. First of all, apologies, this isn't our usual sound quality or our usual studio, mainly because our studio is shut, Jeff. But Jeff Reinbold is with me again as ever. And we're ready for 2014 in those playoffs. Yeah, and that's the big thing, isn't it? The NFL playoffs are about to begin.

Just 12 teams remain on the road to Super Bowl 48,

which will, of course, be played in New York on Sunday, February 2nd.

Jeff, we'll get to those wild card games in a moment.

Let's touch on some of the news around the NFL,

and we look at this time.

And I don't always necessarily feel sorry for the head coaches,

but these head coaches cut guys a lot.

Players get cut all the time, but it does affect a lot of people,

doesn't it? A lot of assistant coaches, a lot of staffs't it a lot of assistant coaches a lot of

staffs well when one guy goes you typically got now in the NFL stabs of 15 to 20 and so when

you talk about 20 families being affected the trickle-down effect of that is is humongous but this is the

life that we choose this is life in football. This is life in any high performance

industry. There's going to be change, and that's the only guarantee that you have is that
