I'm your host, Neil Reynolds, joined as ever by my partner, Jeff, Reimbold.

And Jeff, we are well into the offseason now.

I know you're just about to get deep into training camp with the BC Lions,

but we're also starting to see some of these NFL teams trickle back onto the field.

Yeah, it's great to see. You know, there's still some teams that are in mini-camps.

And I think that for a lot of fans, this is the first chance to see their shiny new

toys if you want to call them that the draft pick that they had, the coaches would get a chance

to get their hands on the players again.

And I know, you know, the coach, from a coach's standpoint you know it's a long frustrating offseason because the way

the NFL players association the NFL thing way you just can't access your

players like you used to during the off season and so for the coaches this is a

welcome opportunity to get get back with your players and start

coaching football yeah I know listening to Adam Gase talking last week he was actually on the

pro football talk podcast and he was saying that he's not allowed to even contact his players

after midday in the offseason so they're the kind of biggest thing they're trying to teach some of these players is how to

manage their time. Jeff, I know there's been a lot of news north of the border about somebody who's

going to fill his time with some quarterback play and that's Johnny Mansell. So two years he's going to be

with the Hamilton Tiger Cats.
