Joining me from North America is my regular partner from Sky Sports coverage of the NFL, Jeff Reimbold.

Jeff, the NFL is back and it delivered the usual array of wild comebacks, controversy, spectacular plays.

I mean, we had it all again in week one, as we seem to every week.

Yeah, it's a phenomenal week of football and capped off last night by that incredible

Chargers, Chargers cards game, you know, you can't, this game is so fan-friendly now with so many

great offensive players. They're scoring like they never have before. If your defensive

guys, it's a little bit disconcerting, but what action yeah we start to see i think around the

NFL we're going to dig deeper into the games look ahead to week two of course answer your questions

in the mailbag and really just maybe look at some bits that catch our eye and jeff one thing first

all i mean this is a new NFL i guess this is the way it's going. Tom Brady had 56 pass

attempts. Joe Flecker had 62 pass attempts. Jay Cutler had 49. These kind of numbers aren't

unusual anymore, are they? No, they're not. And with the way the rules are and the way the

athletes are, and, you know, this is just what's happening now in the National Football League.

And, you know, the old deal about, you know, run on first down, run on second down,

throw it on third down, that's a long time ago now.

And this is now a past first league and quarterback-driven league

and a league of tremendously skilled athletes with some rules, you know,

with some rules changes in the last five or ten years

that have really opened up the game for the offences and I think it's good for the fans.
