I'm your host, Neil Reynolds.

Week one of the NFL season is in the books and it was fantastic as ever and joining me to discuss

all that went on around the league and to look ahead to week two and to answer your questions

in the mailbag is my usual partner jeff ryanbold jeff it was a another it's always a fascinating

week in the nfl there are always storylines. There are always, you know,

injuries to report, comebacks to mention. I mean, it's just the way this league is.

It's phenomenal. I mean, it was every game, every minute of every game, really, was just,

you know, full of drama, full of storylines, like you say, full of, you know, what's to come next.

I just really felt it was a great, great opening week of football, and I'm certain that the

suits on Park Avenue felt the same way. I think, you know, viewership is going to go through the

roof and continue to grow, and certainly a lot of things on Twitter that I've got

today from the fans in the UK and you know whether it's the you know the Raiders fans are

ringing their and the bucks fans are ringing their hands thinking that the world's come to an end and

you know the 49er fans are you know saying that they're back so it's's just all the amazing, amazing drama of NFL football.

And we do need to let it play out for a few weeks, don't we, Jeff? Because of that reason,

we wait so long for this first week of the season that we then try and read so much into what is just one game of football.

Well, I think that's really true, Neil. I think the most important number out of the first week is one.

And I think you listen to Mike Zimmer's comments after the game,

and he was, I thought, had a great evaluation of his football team.

That's not the team that they have.
