In a minute, you're going to hear a really in-depth sit-down interview with Doug Williams, who is the MVP of Super Bowl 22, the only African-American quarterback to win a Super Bowl.

This year is the 25th anniversary of the 4210 victory against the Denver Broncos in San Diego,

when amazingly Doug Williams led Washington to 35 points in the second quarter.

I looked up with stats, Neil.

Nine of 11, 228 yards and four touchdowns in a quarter.

And bear in mind, Washington got 35 in that quarter.

They only scored in two quarters.

They got another touchdown in the fourth, but 35 of the 42 points in one quarter. I mean, it's astonishing. It is astonishing and he was doing it

limping around because do you remember if you cast your mind back, he got injured in the first quarter.

He did. Carl Mecklenburg. Yeah, and Jay Schrader had to come in for a play and Williams looked

like he'd really hurt his knee and then he was like, no, you think about it.

Think about, and you're, you know, I'm sure it'll allude to it in the interview in a minute.

The road that Doug Williams had to take to get to where he was, starting in a Super Bowl,

you know, even that season, you know, that season, Jay Schrader was, you know, was in that lineup a lot.

To have to then come out through an injury, it wasn't going to happen.

You know, it wasn't going to happen and he fought through that.

But in terms of the passing that night, it was, he ripped Denver apart.

You know, it was accurate, strong-armed.

It was still just the most ruthless demolition.

Yeah, that was back in the day when Super Bowls would blowouts.
