Yeah, you do.

And I'll tell you what, there are a lot of things that you watch the games on the network.

And there's some really good things.

And then there's some, wow, this must be the first preseason game. I mean, this is a time for, obviously it's a time for veterans kind of don't want to be

in the early preseason games, do they? They don't want to play in those. They want to be on the

sidelines, but it is a time for young players to win roster spots. And as you say, maybe it's a

time for everyone to shake that rust off. Yeah, you know, and really these are about evaluation. They're not about winning and losing.

Although, you know, as competitive as everybody is in this league, you know, you always play to win.

And, you know, it's like, it's like Herm said, you play to win the game. But ultimately,

in preseason, you play to evaluate your football team so that when it gets down to the last, you know, last weeks of training camp, you can make those crucial roster decision spots for the bottom of your roster.

You really come into these preseason games having a general feel for who your starters are going to be.

It's those backups and veterans that are you going to hold on to? Is a

rookie going to, you know, usurp him? And for young players in particular, these are critical.

Every rep on tape is critical. A question out of the mailbag, Jeff. I'll drag it out now,

was from Josh Skinner, who says, having seen a lot of players sitting out the preseason games,

how much do players want to play in these games?

Again, I guess it depends on your standing on the team.
