Hello, everybody.

Welcome to the Inside the Bird's post-game show, Jeff Mosher, Adam Kaplan,

and a year that started with the Eagles having back-to-back Super Bowl championship aspiration

ends with the Eagles not even winning a playoff game.

They lose 23 to 19 to the San Francisco 49ers at the link.

In a game they led in the fourth quarter twice, Adam, and in a game against an opponent

that was already undermanned and then lost another

significant player in the game to an injury. Man, Eagles are going to kick themselves at him,

but I guess if you followed this team long enough this year, you could have seen it coming.

Yeah, you couldn't be surprised. In fact, that's the way I felt. As a game progressed and they could not put the Niners away, I'm like, here we go again.

It's just you get that ominous feeling about this is what's plagued them the whole season

is not taking advantage of opportunities.

You know, you talked about in our pregame show with myself and Greg Hosell about could they take

advantage of a wonderful opportunity here with the linebackers out they're down four linebackers

okay this is a Niners team that's essentially down six starters on defense if you look at

from week one and they still couldn't get the job done just embarrassing embarrassing. That's really what it is to me.

As I look at my notes here,

embarrassing loss, exclamation point.

It just, it is.

It's just, it's just this offense with the kind of offensive talent they have,

of what they're being paid.

I mean, to underachieve like this is just embarrassing.
