Supporting Partners Magura I’ve been using the Magura MT7 Pro brakes since late last year, and I recently posted that they were the best brakes I’ve ever used. A couple of people got in touch to as if that was really the case and my honest answer is yes they are. The power is insane, but it’s totally controllable, and they are the only brakes that I’ve been able to keep working just as well as when I first fitted them. What’s more, Magura have their #customizeyourbrake programme which allows you to get the brake set up perfectly for you, as you can change the brake lever, the pads, the discs and make some aesthetic changes too. You can check out the entire range of Magura brakes, and the #customizeyourbrake programme over at magura.com. Hey everyone, I'm Chris Hall and you're listening to the downtime podcast where we delve deep into the gravity-based side of mountain biking.

First up, I want to thank our supporting partners who make the podcast possible and today that's Magura, Leia and Santa Cruz.

Until I tried Magira brakes, I'd struggle to find a break that felt powerful enough and that I was able to maintain the performance of over time.

0:23.8

The Megura MT7s changed that. The power is amazing and that power is also really easy to meter.

0:30.5

They're the only breaks I've ever been able to keep working just as well as when I first fitted them.

0:34.8

They've needed minimal maintenance, the bleed is easy to do, and the pad life

0:38.4

with the performance pads has been excellent. Since fitting them, I've not once been left wanting for more

0:43.5

braking performance. In addition to all that, Magura have their customise your brake program,

0:48.3

which means you can get the brakes set up perfectly for you. There are multiple options for lever

shape, pad compound, disc and some aesthetic

changes to perfectly match it with your ride. I found that the perfect set up for me is the standard

performance pads and the HC wide-reach lever which was designed with Loic Bruni and I find works

really well for me. Also, Megura have just launched some seriously incredible technology alongside Bosch, providing

1:12.5

the first ever anti-lot braking system for mountain bikes. If you've not already seen that

1:16.4

technology in the news, then go and check it out. It's pretty mind-blown what they've achieved

with that system. You can check out the entire range of Magua brakes, the customise your brake

programme and their brand new ABS system over at

Magura.com. Leatt's founder, Dr Chris Leight, has a short message for you about their helmet technology.

1:35.1

Hi, this is Dr Leert here of the Leet Lab. You will notice that all our Leet helmets are equipped

with Leet's patented 360 turbine technology.

1:45.1

So what is this?

Leert has long since recognized that not all helmets are created equal and that ideally, helmets we wear should cater for high-velocity impacts,
