I was just in shock. I mean, I didn't really realize what was going on. Like, I was able to take it all in and experience it all. But it was honestly just like a breath of fresh air. I'm like, wow, like I actually just did that. Like my entire childhood, I've been dreaming of doing this, making my debut, playing in the big leagues, and I actually just did that.

Well, Nick Nistrini will remember his major league debut for the rest of his life.

Gave up two runs, three hits, with five strikeouts over five innings against the Royals.

But it wasn't just the game that made the night so special.

It was also what happened before the game and after it.

And Nick is here to talk about the journey and his debut experience on the White Sox Talk podcast.

And believe it or not, a few weeks ago, Nick woke up in the middle of the night with a

tremendous pain coming from his back.

He had to go to the emergency room.

What was going on?

And how did he go from the ER to pitching in the majors? We'll talk about

that. He also break down his three at bats against Bobby Witt Jr., which included two strikeouts

and the very first of his major league career. The scouting report, Martine Maldonado, had for him

before the game what it meant to have his close

friend and teammate Jordan Leisure pitching the same game out of the bullpen. What it meant to have

his family from San Diego to be there to witness his special night after all he and they have been

through to get to this point. So we're going inside Nick Nistrini's Major League debut.
