And today we're coming to you from Capitol Hill, where we're talking about Special

Council Robert Mueller's investigation and what congressional oversight might be

being done. And joining me, graciously joining me today, is the representative from Texas's first

district, Congressman Louis Gomer.

So, I read a very interesting piece that you put together here, Robert Mueller Unmassed, and

it occurred to me that kind of from the get-go you had been warning about not just

about the Mueller investigation generally but also about Robert Mueller specifically from the time that he was appointed.

So I wanted to kind of talk to you today a little bit about sort of where was that warning coming from?

You know, why were you out?

And that is a legitimate question since most Republicans,

most all from the beginning when he was appointed

Special Counselor, say, say oh he has a good reputation

but my experience with him goes back to my days when he was FBI director and I was on the Judiciary Committee.

Now the first year he testified that I was in Congress, I gave him a pass,

asking me these questions, I knew he had served honorably, supposedly in Vietnam.

That's fine, honor your service. But the more I found out and then the more I knew and talked about the problems he had created, the more FBI agents

I heard from about the problems Mueller was creating.
