Today, the United States of America is changing its relationship with the people of Cuba.

In the most significant changes in our policy in more than 50 years, we will end an outdated approach that for decades has failed to advance our interests,

and instead we will begin to normalize relations between our two countries.

When President Obama made that announcement in December, it was huge news. And in political

circles, it raised all kinds of questions. What about the embassies? Are we going to lift the trade embargo?

But what a lot of people really wanted to know is, when can I go to Cuba? Well, today you can.

With some restrictions, book a room on Airbnb and hop a flight to Havana, where you can wander

the Prado on a Saturday afternoon, admire the old colonial buildings and the retro cars.

A few weeks ago, Steve Paulson was one of those tourists.

Before he left, he sat on the patio of the historic Hotel Nacional

with his Cuban guide, Rosa Ricardo.

Now, my sense is that working in the tourism industry,

especially working as a tour guide,

is a very good job in Cuba. Is that right?

It's a very good job, actually.

Mostly because it's one of the ways to get extra money.

Is that mainly through the tips?

Yes, yes.

I mean, everybody knows that it's not a secret or anything like that.

The thing is that this extra money you make will be not only for myself. You know, we share. That's the

way we do here. So tell me how that works. And I know that you have a very young child at home, right?
