0:21.8	and if you've never dealt with a defense attorney in any sort of legal way, they have a very
0:27.3	interesting perspective on the American justice system. And one of the things that makes Kirby
0:32.6	interesting as well is that he's also seen it from the prosecution side. And so as somebody who's worked on both
0:38.8	sides of the legal fence, it's really a interesting conversation to talk about how those two
0:46.8	different sides approach a case and who may or may not have an advantage. Because I think when you
0:52.8	look at the American legal system in a lot of ways,
0:55.1	there are advantages to the prosecution, sort of a home game of sorts,
0:59.3	depending on the jurisdiction, obviously depending on the crime,
1:02.6	and something he and I got into in this interview,
1:05.5	which is also about how much money you have and how much you can spend on a formidable defense. And attorneys always have
1:12.9	really interesting stories because they see, they hear, they talk to people from all walks of life.

1:45.8	Well, the decision to be a lawyer, because I started out as a prosecutor, that just goes back to my childhood.
